If you’re chasing that classic, smoky, mid-range bloom of a vintage 1950s P90 but don’t want to chisel into your favourite Telecaster, this is your solution. We’ve captured the soulful, touch-sensitive dynamics of a traditional soapbar and voiced it to drop directly into your standard T-style bridge mount.

It’s the ultimate sonic upgrade for players who want less “twang” and more authentic, vintage attitude.

Smart Engineering for Time-Honoured Tone

Recreating a true vintage P90 voice inside a narrower Tele footprint requires discarding the textbook. Traditional P90s rely on a wide, flat coil to get their signature fatness. Because a Tele chassis forces a taller, narrower coil shape, we had to get clever to keep that classic tone intact.

• Compensated Output: We’ve wound this bobbin with premium 42AWG Plain Enamel wire to a slightly hotter 9K. This subtle bump in output perfectly compensates for the taller coil size, preventing the pickup from sounding thin and ensuring you get that authentic, full-bodied vintage warmth.

• The Ceramic Secret: While full-sized vintage P90s used Alnico, scaling those magnets down to fit a Tele chassis results in a weak, muddy, and lifeless tone. We use custom-selected Ceramic magnets because they provide the exact magnetic field strength needed to mimic a full-sized vintage pickup—restoring the definition, string separation, and chime you expect.

• The Foundation: Anchored by a traditional UK-made steel baseplate, this pickup retains an authentic grounding profile, ensuring your quiet passages stay clean and your driven tones stay focused.
