The “Cooder” sound is the holy grail of slide and touch-sensitive blues, but let’s be honest: hacking up a vintage guitar to fit an original Teisco unit is a heartbreak waiting to happen.

We’ve solved the puzzle. This pickup is faithfully built to the original 1960s Teisco specifications, but housed in a standard Firebird / Mini-Humbucker footprint. You get that legendary “Gold Foil” chime without the woodwork.

The Recipe for Tone

This isn’t just a lookalike. We use the authentic ingredients that gave those 60s Japanese pickups their unique, lo-fi hi-fi character:

• The Wire: Wound with 44AWG wire for that specific compression and sweet high-end.

• The Magnet: A rubberised ceramic magnet, just like the originals, providing a soft but punchy magnetic field.

• The Output: Calibrated for balance.
