Ever wanted that iconic DeArmond 2000 chime and growl without taking a router to your favourite guitar? Meet the pickup that bridges the gap between 1950s rockabilly swagger and modern boutique craftsmanship.

We’ve taken the legendary Dynasonic blueprint and shrunk the footprint. These are standard PAF/Humbucker-sized, meaning you can drop that vintage “Great Gretsch Sound” straight into your Les Paul, SG, or 335-style build without breaking a sweat.

Art Deco Aesthetics, British Engineering

These aren’t just pickups; they’re centrepieces. Each unit features a UK-made cover and baseplate (both made from nickel-silver for maximum transparency), topped with a stunning, laser-engraved Art Deco plate. It looks like it was pulled straight off a custom ’30s speedster, giving your rig an instant visual upgrade that matches its sonic character.

The Tone

Under the hood, we aren’t cutting corners. We use 1/4″ UK-made Alnico 5 magnets for that signature punch and clarity. Each bobbin is hand-wound with 44awg wire to ensure a harmonically rich response that “mass-produced” units simply can’t touch.

  • The Neck (7.5K): Thick, glassy, and articulate. Perfect for jazz-inflected cleans or bluesy grit that never gets muddy.

  • The Bridge (11K): Overwound for extra “oomph.” It retains the single-coil sparkle but hits your preamp hard enough to bite through any mix.

Hand Wound Custom Guitar Pickups

Hi, I’m Marc the guy behind Mojo Pickups, I’ve been crazy about guitars for nearly thirty years……which eventually lead me into pickup winding. I’ve been making and fixing my own guitar pickups for many years and in 2010 a change in circumstance gave me the opportunity to make it my career.
