The Holy Grail, Realised: Threaded CuNiFe Jazzmaster Pickups

It’s taken 14 years of hunting, sourcing, and relentless testing, but we finally did it. We’ve secured genuine threaded CuNiFe magnets—the legendary alloy that defined the punch and clarity of the original 70s Wide Range humbuckers.

This is our definitive take on that iconic era, reimagined specifically for the Jazzmaster format. No compromises, no “looks-like” substitutes—just the authentic tonal magic you’ve been chasing for over a decade.

Vintage Soul, Modern Precision

While they fit a standard Jazzmaster footprint, these aren’t your typical soapbars. Housed in sleek, UK- Made nickel-plated metal covers, these pickups bring a sophisticated aesthetic and a unique inductive profile to your offset.

Inside, we’ve stayed true to the blueprint. We use 42AWG wire to hit the sweet spot:

  • Neck: 8.8K output for flute-like clarity and rich low-end.

  • Bridge: 10.5K output for extra bite and presence without losing that Hi-Fi CuNiFe sparkle.

Authenticity in the Details

True to the 1970s originals, these pickups feature an internal reflector plate. This isn’t just for show; it focuses the magnetic field, adding strength and “oomph” to the magnets, resulting in that signature touch-sensitive response.

Whether you’re playing through a dimmed valve amp or a pristine pedalboard, these pickups offer a frequency range that Alnico simply can’t replicate. Expect shimmering highs, tight lows, and a mid-range that sits perfectly in the mix.
