Hand Wound / Scatter Wound – Vintage Spec

These are built for players who just want that early Broadcaster vibe without the hype. Everything is done the old-school way, by hand, and to proper vintage specs.

They’re hand wound and scatter wound with 43 AWG wire, which gives them a lively, open response with plenty of character. Flush, non-staggered Alnico 3 magnets keep the tone smooth and balanced, with warm lows, clear mids, and a sweet top end that never gets spiky.

Details are kept period-correct throughout. You’ve got vintage-spaced pole pieces, a black string wrap to protect the coil, and punched flatwork bobbins—no laser cutting here, just like they used to do it. The UK-made zinc-plated baseplate is the correct 1.5mm thickness, adding bite and punch where it counts. Finished off with cloth-covered hookup wire for a clean, classic install.
