Description
As most of my customers know, I’m a Pre-CBS Fender fanboy. Since I started making pickups in 2011, I have been on a quest to make them as accurate as possible and to clone the pickups from my own vintage collection and the ones I’ve been fortunate enough to play and test.
I’m also a collector / hoarder of vintage magnet wire from the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s.
Hand Wound / Scatter Wound to Vintage Specs.
These are currently being wound with Heavy Formvar from 1951 made by General Electric.
Cloned / Vintage correct 0.195″ Alnico 5 magnets, bevelled in-house.
Bobbins are punched not laser cut, have rounded edges and are dipped in nitrocellulose lacquer, just like they did back in the day.
Neck 5.4K, Middle 5.6K and Bridge 6K ohms (sold in sets only).
Wax potted in black bee and paraffin wax to reduce micro-phonic feedback.
Cloth Covered Hook Up Wire.
Comes with mounting screws and rubbers.
