Tonal Chameleon: Humbucker to Single Coil

Equipped with 4-conductor wiring as standard, the Dual Foil is built for the modern tinkerer. With a simple push-pull pot or toggle switch, you can flip between two distinct sonic personalities:

• Humbucking Mode: Thick, harmonically rich, and dead-quiet. Perfect for pushing a tube amp into saturated, vintage bliss.

• Split Mode: True-to-spec Gold Foil chime. Think percussive, “airy” single-coil textures with world-class clarity.

The Ingredients of Tone

We don’t do “budget” internals. Every set is crafted with the authentic materials that defined the “Cooder” era:

• The Wire: 44AWG wire for that specific, sweet high-end compression.

• The Magnet: Rubberised ceramic magnets, staying 100% faithful to the 60s Japanese blueprint.

• The Power:

  • Neck: 7K (3.5K when split)

  • Bridge: 10K (5K when split)

Sonic Signature

Expect a bright but full sound with exceptional string definition. These pickups refuse to get muddy, even under high gain. They provide a “lo-fi hi-fi” clarity that makes every note in a complex chord stand out.

Note for Builders: These are oversized boutique units (approx. 90 x 54 x 10mm). They are perfect for surface mounting or custom-routed projects. Each pickup comes complete with mounting screws.
