These aren’t just single-coils in fancy cases; they are built with the raw, “no-bobbin” soul of the original 1950s units.

Pure Construction, Unrivalled Clarity

Most pickups use a plastic or fibre bobbin. We don’t. Following the original Dano blueprint, we wind the 42AWG wire directly around a custom-made Alnico 6 bar magnet. The coil is then carefully taped and sealed inside a sleek, nickel-plated cover.

By removing the bobbin, the wire sits closer to the magnet, resulting in a unique inductive profile. The result? A percussive, “hollow” chime and a high-end shimmer that traditional single-coils simply can’t replicate.

Low Output, High Reward

These are intentionally low-output pickups, designed for players who value nuance and touch-sensitivity over raw power. They offer a “Hi-Fi” frequency range that stays articulate even through complex pedal chains or fuzzy gain stages.
